EXCHANGE SQUARE TRAM STOP
“EXCHANGE SQUARE TRAM STOP”
Went to Manchester to see Disclosure with my mate, and walking to stay at a friends through the Square was inspiring. It’s presentable slick architecture appeals to the young ambitious side of me. Exchange Square tram stop is a stop on Greater Manchester's Metrolink. The fluid design of the station is pictured to the left (yellow coloured actually) advertised travel and charge within the city center.
This particular print is less dense, reminding me of stories from my mates who worked in the Alps.

“THE ECCLES LINE, METRO LINK “
MANCHESTER PRINT SERIES 2021/2022
PAINTING
The ECCLES METRO-LINK LINE . Trams have been such a consistent feature in this MANCHESTER PRINT SERIES. Transport is a feature I am bringing into my series. When I started the EXETER series, it was lockdown 1(2020) where the presence of cars or busses had been limited . As a sense of activity, busses and trains indicate my movements boldly within lines I work in, as well as depict lockdown regulations lifted at this time (October 2021) . Means of travel like these communicate a sense of length to trips. As a result I like to feel, in these paintings, I have journeyed.

“METRO LINK MOONLIGHT”
PAINTING
MANCHESTER PRINT SERIES 2021/2022
This is the Exchange square tram stop, one area I have already printed in the MANCHESTER PRINT SERIES 2021/2022. The painting is based upon stories of young people getting the tram (metro link) to town for nights out. Seemed cool. In this moonlight setting I have tried be elaborate with the architectural features of the square using light blue.
Seeing @joholdsworthstudios Exhibition at @508_gallery , Chelsea, was a prompt to do some more painting.

The blues ability to seem renewed and expressive in every painting is what I admired in her work.

“MANCHESTER METROLINK, VICTORIA”
MANCHESTER PRINT SERIES 2022
A print of Manchester Victoria station. Waiting on the platform for a train. View looking across at the Metrolink tram service inside the train station. I tried to illustrate my arrival, depicting standing under the glass roof as well as the excitement and continuity of my Manchester trip to see Disclosure that eve. Stations create such as setting, amplifying feeling of any kind you may have in beautiful moments. I aim to do more station images reflecting moods like this defo

LEEDS PRINT SERIES 2020/2021

This isn’t specific of any LEEDS pub. The same characterful student confidence is relayed in a abstracted fashion.
A woman with long ponytail is looking across the left side of room.
A Man is being comforted by a mates arm around his back whilst they stand at the bar (Center of image). The confidence I mention earlier is noticeable in the body language of the guy on the right, striding towards the woman with ponytail. Marks amplify this confidence like echos through out features of the bar.

LONDON, ANGEL
This BAR SCENE I’ve tried to recall the London bustle restaurants and bars generate in the evenings. The ceaseless evening effect bars have makes a rhythm on every street. My lines have tried to capture and imitate this in an outside seating area bordering on the pavement, a classic sight. Love these streets
